THIS IS HOW YOUR INNER CIRCLE AFFECTS YOU.

http://arnoldmusablog.blogspot.co.ke/2017/06/this-is-how-your-inner-circle-affects.html

Your Inner circle affects You.

Anthony Robbins says that your income is determined by the five people you spend the most time with. They influence the life you live and your future. This is because as a group you share same thoughts, ideas and philosophies. Here are a few guidelines on being aware of the kind of people who are around you.

      1. Limited Association.

Some people you can spend a few minutes with and not a few hours. Some people you can spend a few hours with but not a few weeks. In our daily activities we meet all kinds of people that we can’t avoid. Some are our relatives, others are our colleagues but they are not valuable to our lives and future. It is therefore advisable to spend limited amount of time with these people. Do not allow their limited philosophies to affect your dreams and aspirations.

    2. Dis – Association.

Dis – associating is making a firm decision to completely separate from those people who are toxic to your life. Dream stealers and dream killers are people whose minds are clouded with simple things that do not add value to their lives. These are people with stinking thinking and contaminated philosophies. They will cause you to drift away from your dreams and waste your precious time.

    3. Valuable Associations.

Valuable associations are powerful groups that empower you to achieve your goals. These are people who are going somewhere and they have big dreams to accomplish. They expose you to all sorts of valuable information from books, audio programmes, seminars, events and support groups. These are focused people who believe in personal development and improvement. These are the people you want as your inner circle. They are people you can build a dream team with because they understand the meaning of a successful life. They have a great understanding of what is the meaning of success in life.

    4. Expanded Associations.

After finding valuable associations and strong support groups, it is also important to expand your association. Find mentors and coaches in your area of expertise or career and connect with them. They have tremendous experience. You can cut short years of learning by listening to these valuable people. A mentor can hold your hand and guide you through the journey of success. He/she will not do it for you but they will be there for you when no one else can stand your crazy dream.

Successful People Join Groups that are Bigger than Them.

John Maxwell taught that if you find yourself calling all the shots in a group then you are in the wrong group. If you join a team of five and you are the least among them, then you have an opportunity to grow and learn. On the other hand, if you are the greatest, the five will be gaining from you and with time you will all be the same. When you outgrow a group, look for another group that can challenge you and help you grow more.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF SUCCESS IN LIFE.

What is Success?

Success means different things to different people. What is success to one may be nothing near success to someone else. There are more than a thousand books that try to define success yet none has come up with a definite answer.

My simple definition of success is having a balanced life that supports your physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social health while catering for material wealth.

Define Success for Yourself

It is important to have your own definition of success. What is important to you? What can you not live without? What ignites your passion and makes you happy? Ching Ning Chu defined a successful life as one that is lived through understanding and pursuing one’s own path, not chasing after the dreams of others.

Success is a Journey not a Destination.

What is most exciting about being successful is not where you end up, but what happens on your way to success. The skills that you develop and the person that you become, your growth and improvement, the lessons you learn- these are the most important things.

One of the best definitions of success I have ever come across is from Jim Rohn. He said that success isnot something that you pursue; it is something that you attract by the person you become. Instead of going after success, you should work on yourself through Personal Development. This touches all areas of your life from physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual health.

Success is About Happiness.

Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin, believes that success is about happiness. Success is not measured by how much money you have but by how happy you are with what you are doing and how much you love it. Happiness springs up when you find your purpose. When you play on your strengths success is the result.

Success is also About Growth.

Successful people tackle their goals and dreams with growth mindset. Zig Ziglar once said that the League of Legends began with a single step. All great achievers had a beginning and they grew through that process by practicing their art daily and getting better. Failure is not a final event it is a feedback. Failure points to you the areas where you need to improve. Instead of avoiding failure, you should embrace it.

Success Involves Hard work.

There is no great achiever who was not a hard worker. Thomas Edison was a hard worker. One video that narrates his story pointed out that he worked as hard as the ants and he had a passion for invention. Ants are very industrious insects and there are very vital life lessons humans can learn from them.

Thomas Edison attempted more than 1,000 times before he was able to invent the light bulb. When a reporter asked him how it felt to fail 1,000 times his shocking reply was, ‘I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with a 1,000 steps.”

We can close this article with one famous quote from Zig ziglar that says, Success means doing the best we can with what we have. Success is the doing, not the getting; in the trying, not the triumph. Success is a personal standard, reaching for the highest that is in us, becoming all that we can be.”

LIFE LESSONS HUMANS CAN LEARN FROM THE ANTS.

The Industrious Ant.

Horace once said that the tiny ant is a creature of great industry; it drags with its mouth whatever it can, and adds it to the heap that she is piling up, not unaware nor careless of the future. Then William Morton Wheeler noted that the ants are not only efficient, they are hardworking and thrifty, qualities that have always been reasons for seeing them as virtuous role models. With the two quotes in mind, we can borrow more admirable qualities from the ants.

Ants Never Quit!

Ants never quit and nothing can stop them when they decide to go a certain way. When you try to block their path, they will look for other ways. They will do whatever it takes to overcome the obstacle. They will find a way out by going under the obstacle, over it or even around it. They just never quit! It is such an incredible quality to develop.

This is one of the differences between a successful person and a failure. When they come across an obstacle, they find a solution for it. They just have to accomplish their goals no matter what it takes. They are able to create something from nothing. When you quit, you do not quit on your goals, you quit on yourself.

Ants Think Summer When its Winter.

Jim Rohn, a business philosopher, taught that life and business are like the changing seasons. You cannot changethe seasons but you can change yourself. The world goes through a cycle of four seasons. Ants, human beings and other organisms we also go through different seasons in our lives. There can be good and bad times but it is never permanent, everything changes with time.

Winter can be depicted as the tough season when nothing works. One can be frustrated and experience a lot of heart aches. What we can learn from the ants during winter is that they understand that eventually winter will pass. We have never had double winters. Night will give way to day and winter will give way to summer.

The quality that one has to develop in times of winter is the quality of perseverance, hanging on when everyone else is quitting. Just hang on for a little while because eventually summer must come. The Bible says thatweeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning.

Ants Think Winter When its Summer.

Winter will eventually fade away and summer will take over. Summer is during the great moments when everyone is merrying and having feasts. It’s possible to forget about the hard times during summer, and it’s also possible not to look forward to what is coming ahead.

Ants always think about the future and plan for it. They do not go for vacations and they keep adding to what they have until there is no more to add. They carry small tiny bits of things but they are very consistent. Consistency is the name of the game. Always plan for what is coming so that you are not caught off guard. With a good plan, you can foresee what might be an advantage or a disadvantage in the future.

Successful People Never Quit.

These are some of the qualities we can borrow the industrious ant. Tough times will always come but that’s not reason enough to quit. Learn to see every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow. Learn to plan, to prioritize and strategize so that you always have enough resources to actualize your vision.

Everyone is always faced with a challenge, but the difference is how you solve the challenge. Always plan ahead for what is coming so that you are not caught off guard. With a good plan you can foresee what might be an advantage or a disadvantage in the future.

3 IDEAS TO TURN NOTHING INTO SOMETHING.

Is it Possible to Turn Nothing Into Something?

The answer is yes, because all things begin as an idea. Take for example the art of architecture; it is literally a process of turning an idea into a physical structure.

Vera Nazarian once said that one of the strangest things is the act of creation. You are faced with a blank slate—a page, a canvas, a block of stone or wood, a silent musical instrument. You then look inside yourself. You pull and tug and squeeze and fish around for slippery raw shapeless things that swim like fish made of cloud vapor and fill you with living clamor. You latch onto something. And you bring it forth out of your head like Zeus giving birth to Athena. And as it comes out, it takes shape and tangible form.

It drips on the canvas, and slides through your pen, it springs forth and resonates into the musical strings, and slips along the edge of the sculptor’s tool onto the surface of the wood or marble. You have given it cohesion. You have brought forth something ordered and beautiful out of nothing. You have glimpsed the divine. Here are my guidelines on turning nothing into something.

1. Ideas and Imagination.

The first step of the process is coming up with ideas. The human mind is so powerful and creative that it can be able to create pictures and make them move. This is what makes humans superior to all creatures of the planet.

We are all endowed with the incredible ability of imagination. With discipline, you can sharpen your imagination to a point that your imagination becomes almost like reality. As William Arthur Ward once said, if you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.

2. Believe That it's Possible for You.

The Bible describes Faith as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Clarence Smithson also described faith as the ability to see the invisible, believe in the incredible and that is what enables believers to receive what the masses think is impossible.

You have to believe that what you imagined is possible for you. Successful people walk by faith and not by sight. See your imagination as real, hear the sounds, smell the environment in your imagination and feel things with your hands as if they were real.

3. Take Action!

The final step is taking action. It is now time to pick up your tools and apply the physical and mental labour needed to actualize your dream. Be proactive, be fearless, and get to work! For a building to exist in reality, the blueprints have to be translated into a construction. Without action, a dream remains just that.

Begin to put the pieces together, complete the puzzle by fitting the pieces into their respective places. When a piece doesn't fit, change it. When you make  a mistake , correct it and learn from the mistake.

Begin With the end in Mind.

Begin by imagining the outcome of your dream; what will it cost you, how will you achieve it, what are the consequences and benefits. With the end in mind, you have a clearer vision, a sharper focus. You see what needs to go where thus an easier time in completing your puzzle.
