INFLUENCE: WHAT MAKES A GREAT LEADER.

According to John Maxwell,"Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less."
He went further to explain that "if you are leading and no one is following, you are only taking a walk." Leading is not about giving orders and making people do things your way, instead it is about influencing them to follow you either by actions or a way of thinking.
Influence is Both Positive and Negative.
Influence is influence whether it is positive or negative, and it is the dividing factor between a leader and a follower. The person who has the most influence is regarded as the leader in a particular situation. It is not about the position or a rank someone has.
We have seen people influencing others in various ways either to follow their philosphies or to perform certain acts and people willingly follow them. This is not because they are gaining something, but, they have been made to believe in something that they have made that belief their own.
Leaders Influence Thought.
Martin Luther King Jr. was a leader because he was able to influence many people to a certain way of thinking by selling them his dream of unity and oneness. He said, "A time is coming when the black and white children will come together and hold hands."
Influential leaders have the ability to present things in a way that people come to believe that those things are theirs and they are willing to die for them. With the factor of influence, you can be able to separate a great leader from an average leader.

You can also read, "Building Trust with people."
Leaders Leave a Legacy.

Leadership is about the lives a person can affect and not about the people you can manage. A great leader is someone whose impact can be felt. It is a person who has brought changes, a person who has added their voice to real issues in society, a person whose footprint can be seen everywhere they have walked. A leader makes a tangible difference, and starts a movement that is bigger than him/herself.

BUILDING TRUST WITH PEOPLE.

Everybody wants to feel safe and cared for.
People feel safe around you when they can trust you and believe that you care about them. Trust has to be earned and cultivated.
People have been disappointed by past relationships and they do not know who to trust and who not to. They trusted someone and believed in them completely but they ended up hurt and their hearts broken into a thousand pieces.
Conflict in Building Trust
Even in corporate organisations, people sacrifice others for their own gain and this interfers with the principles of building trust and confidence. When people do not trust each other then there is no cooperation.Jim Rohn, a business philosopher once said "each of us need all of us, and all of us need each of us."
People are looking for someone they can trust. Their question is, "Can you be trusted?" People want to confide in you, they want to do business with you. They want to leave their property in your care, but the question is, "Are you trustworthy?"
Kind Acts Build Trust
The process of making people feel safe around you begins with the little things that we do daily and consistently. The kindness that you show makes the difference. When you are getting a coffee for yourself, carry an extra cup for someone else. Hold a door open for someone, and when someone holds a door for you, say thank you.
It takes time to build trust but the rewards are just immeasurable. It doesn't work overnight, and it requires commitment. We live in a world of cause and effect. Whatever you throw to the world, the world will throw it back to you. Show the other person love by performing kind acts consistently and they will eventually reciprocate it.

Create Bond and Bond.
People love doing business with people who make them feel comfortable and safe. Be the kind of person who can heal their wounds, build a relationship and gain their trust. Create a habit of kindness to every person you come across and be patient enough to eventually create an environment of love and care.

THE BEST WAY TO GET BUSINESS PARTNERS.

The era of hit and run in business has come to an end. It is now the era of relationship building and forming trust. Building relationships and building trust helps you to build a good business.
Hit and Run Business Model.
The traditional business model was a hit and run type of business where you find someone, sell them a product or a service and that's all. There was no relationship-building, no time taken to identify the needs of the other person but selling in order to make a profit.
This business model is rapidly disappearing as the world now values relationships. Now, it is not about pushing products on people because they are your friends, colleagues or relatives. You need to ask yourself, "Is this product or service needed by other person?"
Relationship Building Business Model.
People want to know who you are and whether they can trust you with their money. They expect you to understand them and their needs and provide a real, lasting solution with your product or service. They want you to be empathetic and to make their satisfaction a priority.
When it comes to building relationships, it is not just about knowing the other person so that you get a favour from them. It is about listening and understanding the other person's needs and working towards finding a solution to satisfy them.

Embrace the New Business Model.

It is now time to ditch the old approach of hit and run in business or pushing products to people because they are close to us. Embrace the new business model and begin to form deep meaningful relationships where you provide solutions to the needs and problems of the other person. People will begin to like you and trust you, then you will get more business.

THE TWO TYPES OF FEAR YOU NEED TO KNOW.

Just as Les Brown said, "It is okay to be afraid."

RobertKiyosaki also came up with an acronym to describe what the word FEAR means, and his conclusion was that, FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real. Sometimes we create scenarios in our minds that hold us back from trying new things and progressing.

Here are two types of fear that you need to know about so that you can make the right decision next time you are afraid.

1. When You Have Fear
Fear is an inbuilt emotion that everyone has from the time they are young, and I believe that fear was placed in us to serve a positive purpose in our lives. Fear helps us to be careful not to hurt ourselves and other people.

Fear is what keeps us from putting ourselves and other people in a dangerous situation. For example, it is fear of being burnt that makes us not touch a hot object. That means that this kind of fear is positive and useful.

2. When Fear Has You
The other side of this is when fear has you. This is the negative type of fear because it has power and not you. The simplest example I can use here is when someone is so afraid to talk to their crush to an extent that they tremble in their presence.

Another example is being too afraid to take action on a course or endeavor that can change your life. You know it is the right thing to do and that it can change your life completely, but you are afraid to start or take action.

This type of fear kills many dreams as soon as they are conceived. You can only conquer fear by action so we must move to implement and execute our ideas.

Fear is a natural emotion.

It is natural to be afraid. However, overthinking and over analyzing plants the seeds of doubt in us, which germinate into fear. The antidote for fear is action. Implementing and executing your ideas will not give you time for fear.

I believe that you can do what you want to do and you can be what you want to be in spite of fear. It will be tough but do it anyway.

WHAT EVERYBODY OUGHT TO KNOW ABOUT AUTHENTICITY.

Authenticity Makes the Difference.

Authenticity is about being you. It is about being the real you,not pretending or disguising yourself as someone different. It means accepting yourself just as you are and sharing the gift of the original you with the world.

The masks are always on.
People are wearing masks these days and you cannot tell whom they really are. They hide their identity and pose as an imitation of someone else.

In this age of social media, many people live a different life through their online profiles. They want to show the world that everything about them is perfect and they are rich with flashy cars and luxurious holidays.

You are a gift worth sharing.
Life is not about money, fame and material things. There is more to life than that. Life is about discovering who you are and being the best version of yourself. It is identifying the uniqueness in you and being the best gift that this world can have.

A meaningful life is a life that has an impact on other people. Deep inside of you, you are carrying a solution for this world. It is your duty to identify what it is and learn how to unwrap it from your heart and share it with the world. This makes the world a better place.

Imitation is Limitation
John Mason named one of his books "Imitation is limitation".  This means, if you try to be like someone else, you are literally limiting yourself. You are unique and beautifully created. What is inside you is special. The Bible puts it well, when it says that you are created fearfully and wonderfully.

Now is the time to be authentic. It is time to be the real version of you. It is time to take off the mask.

Be yourself. Be the original version of you. Give the world the gift of yourself and the world will celebrate and applaud you.
